NOTE: Identity Guard Device Secure is only available for Windows 8/81/10 as of right now. Releases for Mac and mobile devices are in development.
- Sign in to your account on the Identity Guard website.
- Click on the "Antivirus & Wi-Fi Security" tile
- On the next page, click the "DOWNLOAD NOW" button
- Follow your browser's directions for the download and open the file
If you get the following warning screen, click More info and then Run Anyway.
Windows will then ask you to authorize Identity Guard Device Secure, please click YES.
The installation window should appear next. The first thing you'll see is a set of release notes. These will detail what's been changed since our last update. Feel free to read those over and let us know if you have any questions.
The next screen asks whether you'd like to have a desktop shortcut (icon) created. This is entirely up to you but we recommend that you keep that option enabled so that you always have easy access to your Identity Guard Device Secure app and account. Click the Next button.
Last, you'll be asked to review your installation options and if you're all set, click the install button. If you need to make any changes, click the Back button.
The next screen will detail the installation process as it progresses. It can take several minutes for the install to complete, so please be patient.
- When the installation completes, the installer window will prompt you to click Finish to complete the process.
Additionally, the app should auto-start and ask you for your email address and password. Once you have signed in, you will be good to go!
Note: If you have any issues signing into Identity Guard Device Secure, please click here.
Once Identity Guard Device Secure has successfully installed, you will want to run a Full Scan of your computer. The time it takes to complete a full scan of your computer will vary depending on how many files you have. However, you can let Identity Guard Device Secure scan in the background while you go about your business. It won't slow you down!
Identity Guard Device Secure currently schedules scans to run every day at 3am. To allow Identity Guard Device Secure to protect your computer to its full extent, we recommend leaving your computer on overnight so that these scans are able to run. If you decide not to leave your computer on, that's fine as well! You can run an on-demand scan of your computer whenever you'd like.
