Antivirus scan results can sometimes be confusing, but not with Identity Guard Device Secure! We make it easy to understand what happened at the end of your scan. Just in case you need a little help, this article will explain what your scan results really mean to you.
No Issues Found
The best result you can get! Identity Guard Device Secure did not find any issues with your files and folders after completing the virus scan. There is nothing more you need to do.
Virus detected. Phew, I have Identity Guard!
Ok, not the greatest news after running a virus scan. But this is what we're here for, so there is no need to worry! We have contained (quarantined) the infected files so they can no longer do any harm (if any) to your computer. After 30 days, the files will be deleted entirely.
Deleting an Infected File
Even though we will delete quarantined files in 30 days, you may want to get rid of them immediately (not a bad idea!). To do that, you can just click the trash can icon to the right of the filename to delete it right away. That's it, the infection is gone!
Restoring an Infected File
If Identity Guard Device Secure detected a file that you believe is not a virus or infected, or one that you absolutely need back temporarily, you can click the arrow next to the file you want to restore. Please be sure to use extra caution when restoring a potentially infected file as we wouldn't want anything malicious to happen to your computer.
